ARTWORK UCTO collection (UpCycling The Ocean) Collaboration between ARTWORK and PTT GC by providing the fabric from Upcycling the Oceans,Thailand project. What is “Upcycling the Oceans, Thailand”? Upcycling the Oceans is a successful project that originated in Spain. It creates awareness among fishermen’s organizations and the public about the problem of plastic waste, working with them to collect plastic waste from the sea and upcycling it into fabrics for ECOALF-brand products. Based on this success, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, PTT Global Chemical PLC, and the ECOALF Foundation have joined together to initiate the “Upcycling the Oceans Thailand” project. It aims to conserve and restore marine natural resources and ecosystems by collecting plastic waste from the sea. This waste material is upcycled for added value, using innovative technologies to make quality clothing with fashionable designs. This fabric made from recycled PET plastic bottles, collected from the Gulf of Thailand. ARTWORK manage to designed this trash and come up with the idea of street style cross body bag which practical & affordable, with eco-friendly water repellent technology.
